This problem probably means the Screen Magnifier is on. Ctrl+Alt+Brightness Down(the smaller of the 2 suns on the top row of keys) will zoom it down to a normal desktop. Then it can be turned off in the Settings by going to the gear on the lower right and choosing Advanced. Down near the bottom you will find Accessibility. Choose Manage Accessibility features and find the screen magnifier under Display and turn it off.
