Yesterday, Clever experienced a service interruption that impacted your school district. I’m writing to apologize for that interruption.
At 12:58 PM PT on Monday, June 14 2021 we identified that users were unable to log into the Clever Portal and District Dashboard.
This issue was a result of an error in deploying a production database change at 12:58 PM PT. We resolved the issue at 1:34 PM PT by migrating to a new database instance. We will prevent this issue in the future by adding additional review processes for production database changes, including strengthening our permission system.
I sincerely apologize for the interruption. There’s nothing more important to me and to everyone at Clever than providing a reliable, secure digital learning platform for you and your students. As a result of this incident, we will improve reliability but I’m very sorry that we let you down along the way.
