We've been receiving many questions about the Polling Feature in Zoom. I want to take a minute to explain how it works.
First, there are two ways to host a meeting in Zoom. These are identified when you log into your account and are labeled like this:
1. Host a Meeting 2. Schedule a Meeting
Host a Meeting is best used for those times when you need to quickly jump into an unscheduled meeting and invite participants.
Schedule a Meeting is best for all meetings that you know is going to happen in advance.
Polling - I'm not sure why, but the Polling feature will only work when you use the Schedule a Meeting option. It does not work when you use the Host a Meeting option. Additionally, you can set up all of your polls in advance directly on your Zoom account. Here's a short video that shows you how to use the polling feature.
